ARIELE PSYCHOTHERAPY- Brescia, Milan
The Italian Association for Individual, Group and Institutional
Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy with a Psycho-Social-Analitical matrix

ARIELE PSYCHOTHERAPY is certified UNI EN ISO 9001-2000, for the activity of "Research, planning and distribution of the training activity in Psychotherapeutic and Psycho-Social-Analytical field, also with reference to the ECM protocol".

The individual, group and institutional psychoanalytical psychotherapy, also named "attuale" psychotherapy (*), is the clinical approach which gained recognition within the framework of Italian psychosocioanalytical research field.

During the 60's, the English sociolanalysis studies, principally of E.Jaques, I.Menzies converged in Italy thanks to the studies and research of F.Fornari and L.Pagliarani. They enhanced the sociolanalysis not only whith the contributions of other analysts (W. R. Bion, M. Balint),but they also with there vast practical experience which derived from various fields.

An Italian team, coordinated by L. Pagliarani, whose work with individuals, groups, institutions and social contexts by using a clinical approach, created the Italian psycho-socio-analitical model.

In 1983, ARIELE – Italian Psychosocioanalysis Association - was legally set up: it is made up psychotherapists, managers, company consultants and educators, in order to make "study, research and developement of the psycho-socio-analysis".

In 2001 ARIELE PSYCHOTHERAPY was founded in order to give emphasis and build on the specific experience of the psycho-social-analytical work on the individuals, groups, institutional and social contexts, by using and developing tools and clinical competence of the psychoanalitycal psychotherapy.

ARIELE PSYCHOTHERAPY is the result of a progressive and continuous study, research and professional practice that has grown into an executive model, it show the advantage of the psychosocioanalytical background, by the contribution from the authors of the Object Relation, Psychology of the Self, Neolatin School of E.Pichon Riviere, Theory of the Complexity, in addition to those from Organization and Management area.

ARIELE PSYCHOTHERAPIE is theory, method and technique, founded on the premise of continuous attention to the connections among individual – group – institution.

  • Its episteme is the "puer", the son, the germinability, the project with reference to intrapsychic (internal group) and interpersonal (reference groups at different institutional and social levels) problems.
  • It works on the lack, deficiency and discomfort, which are considered as limits that, however, contain potential resources to overcome the crisis and to make "the new" come into existance.
  • It affirms that we learn by doing and interacting with one’s own emotions, with other people’s emotions, one’s specific culture and the world at large.
  • It asserts that the inhibition of one’s own creative potential produces trouble in the ability of loving and doing : consequently, the inability of creating good relationships with one’s self, others, work and the world.
  • It offers operational tools to conjugate "to love" and "to work" appropriately to dynamic settings, being aware that the quality of life of the individual, the group, the "polis" and - in general terms- the whole eco-system, depends on the actual coherence – integration – interaction of these settings.

Joining ARIELE PSYCHOTHERAPY requires you:

  • to be a psychotherapist doctor,
  • to have an adequate psycho-socio-analytical educational background,
  • to have completed one's own personal psychoanalysis

(*) "attuale" has a double meaning:

  • a psychotherapy on an action (a transformative action)
  • a psychotherapy which gives particul attention to what happens in the present therapeutic relationship
  • see also Burlini A., Galletti A. (2000),Psicoterapia "attuale", F. Angeli, Milano.

More information are available in the section "Psychotherapy in the group setting", Psycho-socio-analysis area (by E.Ronchi),
